Codec selection affects compatibility, bandwidth, quality, and the streaming-server/output configuration.
MP3 remains widely compatible and is useful where broad player support is important. AAC-LC can provide efficient high-quality streaming where the destination and listeners support it. Opus is designed for efficient modern audio delivery but must be used with a compatible output/server path.
Use only codec modes supported by your current certified SW Encoder build and streaming destination. Do not assume AAC-LC and HE-AAC/AAC+ are the same codec mode.
