Setting up automatic metadata

Automatic metadata can be obtained from supported source types such as HTTP polling, HTTP push, TCP, UDP, or a local file, depending on the current build and configuration.

Choose the source type that matches your automation or playout system and select the appropriate input format. Test with a known Artist - Title value before relying on live programme data.

Metadata processing is independent of the audio path, so a metadata-source problem should be investigated without stopping healthy audio unnecessarily.
