A title can legitimately remain unchanged for a long programme, speech segment, or live event. For that reason, unchanged metadata should not automatically restart the metadata source or interrupt audio.

Investigate the upstream automation if the displayed title should have changed. Treat source-read failures separately from a legitimate long-running title.
