Understanding escalation policies

How escalations help route unresolved monitoring incidents.

Escalation policies define how qualifying incidents can receive additional attention when they remain unresolved or meet configured conditions.

The exact recipients, delays, and actions depend on your organization's configuration. Escalation is separate from the original detection: monitoring first establishes the incident state, then the configured escalation workflow determines additional notifications or handling.

Contact your SW Monitor administrator if an escalation route needs to be changed.
